Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible?

SparKorb is operated by Oğuzhan Güneş. For privacy questions and requests, contact sparkorb.info@gmail.com.

2. Data processed by SparKorb

You can use SparKorb without creating an account. If you create an account, we process your email address, display name, securely hashed password, authentication sessions and saved shopping list to provide account access and synchronization.

For product-offer notifications, we store an installation identifier, push-notification token, watched products, selected favorite stores and notification language. These device settings are separate from your account.

If you request a password reset, we process your email address and a time-limited reset code. The code is stored as a hash, and the reset email is sent through Gmail.

3. Location

Your location is used to find nearby supermarkets. You control location access through your device settings and can select a location manually. SparKorb may retain your last selected or resolved location on your device so it can restore your shopping area. Requests to mapping or location services may include your search or location information as needed to return results. SparKorb does not sell location data.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. SparKorb does not store your payment-card details. The app uses subscription information supplied by Apple to determine access to Plus features. Apple's privacy policy also applies to Apple's services.

5. Purposes and storage

Data is used to provide the app's features, synchronize shopping lists, manage accounts, secure access and deliver requested notifications. Product-price observations and price history may be stored to display price trends; these are product data, not a record of purchases you made.

Account data is removed when you delete your account, except where retention is required by law. Device-notification records are managed separately: disable offer notifications in the app to unregister the device, or contact us if you need help. Local preferences and cached app data remain on your device until cleared or the app is removed.

6. Service providers

Personal data is not sold. Our hosting provider processes requests needed to operate the app's backend. Apple processes data necessary for services such as push notifications, location services and in-app purchases. Google processes email-delivery data when Gmail is used to send a password-reset email. When you email support, your message and contact details are processed to respond to your request.

Like other internet services, the app's servers receive technical connection information, such as IP addresses and request times, when handling requests.

7. Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You can delete your account directly in the app's Settings. You can manage location and notification permissions in your device settings, and manage watched products in SparKorb.

Deleting your SparKorb account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.

8. Security

Data transmitted to SparKorb's backend is encrypted using HTTPS. Passwords are not stored in plain text; they are stored using salted password hashes. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
